SPECIAL DEVICES INCORPORATED’S DEFENSE & AEROSPACE BUSINESS IS SOLD TO ENSIGN-BICKFORD AEROSPACE & DEFENSE COMPANY

MOORPARK, CA, March 12, 2010 – Special Devices, Incorporated is pleased to announce the completion of the sale of its Defense & Aerospace (D&A) Business Unit to Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company. EBA&D entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the D&A Business on January 13, 2010.

Since 2004, D&A has designed, developed and manufactured mission-critical pyrotechnic products that are integrated into tactical missiles, weapons and launch vehicles. The business serves a diverse group of customers, including the U.S. government, primes and subcontractors.
